Lower Gastrointestinal Cancers
GI Cancers are separated into different types based on the type of cells discovered on the biopsy as well as where the cancer originated. These different classifications can help the patient make better decisions about their care and help the practitioner create the most optimal protocol.
On this page, we'll list some of the most common types of Gastrointestinal Cancers though, understand, regardless of the type and or diagnosis, we test each person and create a unique protocol based on that testing.
Colon & Colorectal Cancer
Colon cancer develops inside the large bowel (large intestine) and often starts out as a benign (non-cancerous) mass of cells that grow along the colon’s lining. Colorectal cancer is so named for the location, closer to the colorectal junction.
These cancers are staged by the invasiveness, whether the cancer has penetrated the intestinal wall and/or metastasized to other parts of the body. Symptoms often depend on where in the intestine a tumor grows as well as its size.
Adding a dietary, nutritional, and alternative therapy protocol to conventional care may greatly improve outcomes. When you think about it, specific nutraceuticals, when ingested or taken rectally, may be able to directly impact the tumor exposed in the lumen of the GI tract.
General Considerations for Colon & Colorectal Cancer:
- Understand detoxification pathways and the importance of whole-body care and helping your liver and kidneys rid toxins. Download Dr. Conners' book, The Seven Phases of Detoxification for free on our books page.
- Consider making dietary changes like reducing animal proteins and dairy products.
- Consider nutraceuticals which can help the colon such as enzymes, pre- and probiotics, intestinal binders and nutrition to help heal leaky gut (see more detail on our site for these).
- As with any diagnosis, find a practitioner that looks for the cause and treats that, tests for your specific cancer balancers, and supports immune function.
- We highly recommend every cancer patient add Rife technology to their protocol and believe this is often the "missing link" in one's care.
Rectal & Anal Carcinoma
Rectal and Anal Cancer can be more difficult to treat from a conventional perspective. Surgery may more commonly end with a colostomy.
Remember, alternative practitioners are not "treating the cancer", but are treating the patient. We are less concerned with the diagnosis than we are with improving the condition of the body, the immune system, and the ability to detoxify, all factors that allowed the cancer to grow.
We believe in specific testing to determine the cancer's fuel source and making as many changes as possible to reduce its ability to grow. We also test for specific, nutraceutical cancer balancers (think, natural chemotherapies) that may help one's immune system better attack the cancer directly.

Small Intestine & Appendiceal
Cancer of the Small Intestine and cancer of the Appendix are more rare but still very treatable. Early symptoms can mimic appendicitis and should always be investigated.
We believe in specific testing to determine the cancer's fuel source and making as many changes as possible to reduce its ability to grow. We also test for specific, nutraceutical cancer balancers (think, natural chemotherapies) that may help one's immune system better attack the cancer directly.
Adding a natural approach to your current care may greatly improve one's outcome and one's quality of life.

Gastric/Stomach Cancer
Stomach Cancer has a unique characteristic in that there exists a primary cause worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, the bacteria known as H. pylori is the number one cause of all Gastric Cancers. H. pylori is also the cause of ulcers and a small percentage live in our normal flora.
When we test a patient, regardless of the type of cancer diagnosed, we test for possible cause(s). Should H. pylori be a cause of the cancer, it makes since to treat that as well.
This is why testing to determine CAUSE, the cancer's fuel source and testing for specific, nutraceutical cancer balancers (think, natural chemotherapies) that may help one's immune system better attack the cancer directly, is essential to ensure the best possible outcome.
General Considerations for Gastric/Stomach Cancer:
- Understand detoxification pathways and the importance of whole-body care and helping your liver and kidneys rid toxins. Download Dr. Conners' book, The Seven Phases of Detoxification for free on our books page.
- With Gastric Cancer, consider adding berberine to help balance h. pylori bacteria so commonly involved.
- Consider making dietary changes like reducing animal proteins and dairy products.
- Consider nutraceuticals which can help the colon such as enzymes, pre- and probiotics, intestinal binders and nutrition to help heal leaky gut (see more detail on our site for these).

Bile Duct Cancer
Bile Duct Cancer or Cholangiocarcinoma is a type of cancer that forms in the slender tubes (bile ducts) that carry the digestive fluid bile. Bile ducts connect your liver to your gallbladder and to your small intestine. There are several types of this cancer based on where the tumor is growing within the bile duct.
It is most important to keep an eye on one's degree of jaundice as that can signal a serious blockage. Make sure to report this as well as changes in other symptoms to your doctor.
Remember, alternative practitioners are not "treating the cancer", but are treating the patient. We are less concerned with the diagnosis than we are with improving the condition of the body, the immune system, and the ability to detoxify, all factors that allowed the cancer to grow.

- Consider making dietary changes like reducing animal proteins and dairy products.
- Consider nutraceuticals which can help the colon such as enzymes, pre- and probiotics, intestinal binders and nutrition to help heal leaky gut (see more detail on our site for these).

Empowers Members and Offers Hope
The majority of our members come to us in either Stage III or Stage IV cancer, having been sent home with almost no hope. At Conners Clinic, alternative coaching means we care for those with cancer by treating the whole person - not the cancer. We believe in giving hope through natural, alternative ideas. There is a reason for - a cause of - your disease, and we will work to help YOU uncover the why and help YOU treat the cause. If you'd like more information on how our clinic and coaching plans work (pricing, distance plans, etc.) fill out the form below. We look forward to serving you and guiding you on your journey towards health.
In this video Dr. Conners walks you through our clinic processes and the choices you have in working with us.
What Does Natural, Alternative Cancer Coaching Look Like?
Natural, Alternative Coaching begins with a completely different way of looking at disease and the body. We don't treat cancer, or any disease, because that won't help in the end. The questions you need to ask are: Why do you have cancer and why is your body responding the way that it is? We believe there's always a reason, a root cause or causes, for why you have ill-health. We’ll help uncover the why and create a personalized care plan to help treat the cause naturally.
Alternative coaching shouldn't be the alternative...it should be the essential starting point!
