Defining Life through the Lens of Experience
If we want to guarantee a hopeless future we should define life and our view of God through the lens of our current experience. I’ve been there; you’ve been there. I’ve met my share of patients that have so engulfed themselves in a sense of victim-ness that they may as well tattoo the name of “their” disease on their chest. My challenge is to break through the temptation to be a victim no matter what current grief leaves you broken.
God’s joy is to be invited into the shattered lives of His beloved and in the midst of the pain and ugliness of rotting flesh, He pieces back together a piece of art that is far more beautiful than what we could imagine.
