Dealing with food sensitivities

Food sensitivities are SO COMMON. They are often very hard to assess & pinpoint the exact food that is giving you a reaction. However, focusing on finding the foods that cause autoimmune flare ups is so important to getting inflammation under control & combatting the chronic disorder.

You must deal with foods that cause autoimmune reactions. You must understand that food sensitivities can happen with any food & may even differ when eating raw vs. cooked. For example, you may not have a reaction to consuming carrots raw, but cooked carrots cause symptomatic changes.

Food sensitivities & autoimmune disease

If you are a person dealing with an autoimmune disorder, is SO important that you keep a journal of any changes. When you struggle with chronic disease, you must be consistent about symptom changes to get to the bottom of the ROOT CAUSE.

This is just one piece to the puzzle. Getting food sensitivities under control can lessen the stress put on your immune system & give you hope for remission if you are struggling with autoimmune disease.

Does this mean you can never eat these foods again?

Not necessarily. We want to break up bad relationships if the body is struggling to keep up with toxic food. However, we may be able to slowly add some foods back in when we heal the gut, combat the inflammation & support the immune system.
