Insulin Potentiated Chemotherapy
Insulin Potentiated Chemotherapy (IPT), typically defined as the use of chemotherapy dosed at 10% of normal dose, coupled with insulin to increase the drug’s uptake into cancer cells. IPT is similar to Metronomic Chemotherapy (mCHT), defined as continuous administration of low-dose chemotherapeutic agents with no or short regular treatment-free intervals. While initial consideration of such therapies seems to be less destructive and less toxic, there are things to consider as these are not without complication.
