Why is Lipitrol Necessary?
I have long posted about the dangers of Statin drugs. Though they are effective for lowering cholesterol levels, they are horribly dangerous for one’s liver. Statins destroy Co-Q10, a critical nutrient for our cell’s mitochondria (the powerhouse of the cell). The heart requires high levels of Co-Q10. A form of Co-Q10 is found in all cell membranes, where it plays a role in maintaining membrane integrity, which is critical to nerve conduction and muscle integrity.
Co-Q10 is also vital to the formation of elastin and collagen. Side effects of Co-Q10 deficiency include muscle wasting leading to weakness and severe back pain, heart failure (the heart is a muscle!), neuropathy and inflammation of the tendons and ligaments, often leading to rupture.
Though high cholesterol is not healthy, how would we actually rate “high” levels. Contrary to current recommendations by Big Pharma controlled doctors, we do NOT recommend even using a natural cholesterol-reducers unless your cholesterol is over 280-300.
Cholesterol is NECESSARY! It is the precursor to vitamin D, necessary for numerous biochemical processes including mineral metabolism. The bile salts, required for the digestion of fat, are made of cholesterol. Those who suffer from low cholesterol often have trouble digesting fats. Cholesterol may also protect us against cancer as low cholesterol levels are associated with increased rates of cancer.Since cholesterol is made soluble by bile acids, which allow for digestion and absorption of dietary fats, making bile a major route for elimination of dietary cholesterol from the body. Lipitrol increases the production of bile and works with the body to maintain optimal cardiometabolic health.
According to Orthomolecular, “Sytrinol® promotes healthy cholesterol metabolism by helping to control the degradation rate of the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme (required for cholesterol synthesis).” In addition, Sytrinol’s® nutrient blend includes unique citrus flavonoids called PMFs that inhibit the hepatic synthesis of cholesterol building blocks. PMFs also offer antioxidant support to protect blood vessels, which is key for optimal cardiometabolic health. Placebo research shows that Sytrinol® significantly improves markers of blood fats and the maintenance of healthy cholesterol levels.
Gugul is a resin found in the stem of a Commiphora mukul tree and contains active components called gugulsterones, which ultimately support liver cholesterol metabolism and improve cholesterol uptake from bile. Several studies have shown that gugulipids support normal cholesterol levels and maintain proper blood fat in humans.
Artichoke Leaf Extract
Artichoke Leaf Extract (ALE) is a known choloretic and contains specific compounds that promote the liver’s cholesterol levels. ALE supports the production and release of bile, the main transport mechanism of dietary cholesterol in the body. Another importance feature of ALE is its ability to reduce HMG-CoA reductase enzyme, even when stimulated with insulin. Several placebo studies have shown a significant reduction in this specific enzyme.
Chromium & Guar Gum
Orthomolecular’s research has shown, “chromium to be particularly beneficial for optimal carbohydrate and lipid metabolism.” Lipitrol uses a superior form of chromium complex to truly promote healthy cholesterol levels. Guar gum is a soluble fiber that has been shown to assist in maintaining healthy cholesterol levels by allowing for the proper amount of secretion of cholesterol-laden-bile.
