What Does CopaCalm Do?
With life’s craziness since the COVID-19 crisis, stress has become a larger issue to address. The formula of CopaCalm contains a combination of ingredients designed to address the stress of everyday living, allowing for a relaxed focus state without drowsiness. Managing increasing stress levels has been brought to the forefront of today’s go-go-go societal mentality. Stress is beneficial only in small quantities, but it causes cognitive decline and mood challenges when it happens too often or becomes severe. The nervous system contains neurons responsible for processing and transmitting information using neurotransmitters and electrical ion channels. Neurotransmitter receptors are the gateways for communication within the nerve cells. Neurotransmitter imbalance is a consequence of high stress. CopaCalm includes ingredients that balance these neurotransmitters and promote calming focus.
L-Theanine
L-theanine is an amino acid found abundantly in green tea and has been shown to quickly improve stress perception and resilience. L-theanine contains stress-buffering mechanisms that connect to its ability to increase serotonin and dopamine production in the brain. L-theanine has also been shown to increase alpha brain wave activity, which is critical for increasing attention, along with promoting a sense of relaxation. Research shows that patients who received L-theanine had a significant increase on alpha brain wave activity versus the placebo. Those who received L-theanine also were shown to have a protective effect on nerve cells overstimulated by the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate.
GABA
Gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA) is a primary inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. GABA provides a calming effect and is a primary component of the body’s stress fighting mechanisms. GABA is produced in the brain and may be supplemented in the diet. It has been shown in published research studies to promote relaxation effects in the central nervous system (CNS). Studies have shown that patients who received GABA produced a significant increase in alpha waves, as well as a decrease in beta waves when compared to the placebo. Like stated above, alpha waves are associated with relaxation and focus. However, beta waves are associated with stress, restlessness and scattered thoughts. Therefore, the increase in alpha waves and the decrease of beta waves promotes relaxation within the body.
Huperzine A
Huperzine A is a purified component derived from Chinese club moss. It has been found to support healthy cognition in a range of animal models and clinical trials. Huperzine A is a potent acetylcholinesterase inhibitor which helps to improve memory and support optimal cognitive health. In several studies, this element has helped patients develop stronger memory adequacy.
