Resveratrol possesses anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective, and anti-cancer properties, according to multiple studies. It has been reported that resveratrol can reverse multidrug resistance in cancer cells, and, when used in combination with clinically used drugs, it can sensitize cancer cells to standard chemotherapeutic agents making it a GREAT addition to standard oncological care.
It is a favorite of mine to help reduce overall inflammation and has been shown, along with curcumin and EGCg from green tea, to be a major reducer of brain inflammation. Resveratrol stands as a potent cancer preventive as well as a natural chemotherapy: it is the most extensively studied molecule and apparently the least toxic, having been found to interfere with cancer by targeting several molecules and pathways involved in cancer development.
