We are not able to understand everything God does in our lives, because we cannot see from his perspective. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,” declares the Lord, “neither are your ways my ways.” (Isaiah 55:8) We do not know what He is trying to accomplish or what mercies He is pouring out for us today. There are literally a MILLION different purposes in our problems; a HUNDRED THOUSAND intentions in our issues. But, we can know that His plan is ultimately good for us, “we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

Through trials and tribulations, blessings and abundance, we are

called to trust that God knows what He is doing and that He is taking us exactly where he wants us to be. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.” (Proverbs 3:5-8)

Therefore, we have the choice of either trusting in our own understanding by continuing to try and force our own plans, our wants, our desires, our perceived rights, or we can choose to trust God and ask that HE place HIS desires in our hearts. By His grace, we are empowered to forgo what we once wanted in order to say “Yes” to what He is asking of us now.
